[edit] Terran vs Zerg

The Marine is the backbone of the Terran army in Terran vs Zerg. Combined with the Medic, Marines are extremely cost effective and do full damage against all units.

[edit] Terran vs Protoss

Marines are only used in the early game against Protoss, often as early pressure when Protoss decides to expand quickly.

[edit] Terran vs Terran

Due to TvT consisting entirely of mechanical units, Marines are rarely used. Vultures, Goliaths and Siege Tanks can destroy them easily.
