Fast expanding has become standard play against Zerg. Cannons are placed with the Forge and Gateway.

Due to the Siege Tank's long range, cannons are not made in mass against Terran. Cannons in this match up are used to defend Probes from Vultures.

Cannons are primarily used to defend expansions against harassment.
